The Kristall Kellerei the only vineyard operating in Namibia, is certainly worth a visit before you leave town. Helmut Kluge planted 4 ha of Colombard and Ruby Cabernet vines in 1990 and since 1996 has been perfecting his Colombard white (to which he adds oak chips) and Ruby Cabernet red wine. He produces between 4000 and 6000 litres per year, split equally between white and red, distribution of which he carefully controls so that he always has a supply available for those coming to enjoy his meals and wine tours.
